The City of Garland Senior Services is committed to providing leisure, social, and human service opportunities to Garland seniors. Adults 55 and above can participate in a wide array of educational, social, and physical activity programs in a friendly and comfortable environment.
Programs are designed to promote and foster healthy independent living, enhance quality of life and build a sense of belonging and community among older adults.

The City of Garland provides a hot lunch Monday through Friday for senior citizens age 60 and older. A donation of $0.75 per meal is suggested.
The Client Intake and Service Request Form (PDF) must be completed to participate in the lunch program. This service is supported, in part, by the Dallas Area Agency on Aging (DAAA), the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) and Dallas County.
Transportation is provided for seniors ages 60 and over from their homes to either one of the senior centers each weekday. The program is offered free of charge, however, participants must reside within the city limits of Garland and must participate in the lunch program to qualify for this service.
Additionally, transportation to doctor appointments within the city limits of Garland can be provided depending on availability.
