The vendor for our mobile application has been working diligently with their clients to address an issue that has affected all mobile Android and Apple users and the ability to submit request(s). Apple users have an update (version 4.3.0) that should address the issue. However, Android users will still need to follow the instructions below to submit a request until the new Android version is released. We regret any inconvenience this has caused and will update this notice as soon as the Android fix is made available.
Requests to eAssist can still be submitted online or you may also contact Customer Service at (972) 205-2671.
Android users: The following is a work-around until the new update is available.
- Tap the Menu button (three horizontal lines) at the top-left:
a. Tap the Profile icon.
b. Tap EDIT YOUR PROFILE SETTINGS.
c. Tap Log Out at the bottom.
d. Then go back to the Profile section First, tap “Already have an account?” and then log back in.
2. If the Logout/Login features are not available due to failing functionality on the app while using an Android device, try clearing the app’s storage data by following these instructions:
a. Long-press on the app’s icon from your home screen, and tap the App Info icon (Note: These steps may vary by Android version and device.)
b. Tap Storage & Cache.
c. Then tap Clear storage.
d. Then re-launch the app and log back in.

The City of Garland has recently partnered with Catholic Charities of Dallas, Inc. to provide financial assistance to eligible Garland residents having difficulties paying their monthly utility bill obligations. Catholic Charities also has funding to assist eligible customers with rental payments. The City of Garland will continue to work with customers prior to a potential non-pay interruption in service(s) and strongly encourage those needing assistance to contact Utility Customer Service at (972) 205-2671 or CustServ@GarlandTX.gov to discuss their situation.
